At noon today, a program featuring patriotic music, a color guard presentation, prayers, a gun salute and guest speaker, Army Brig. Gen. William F. Duffy, commanding general of the Military Intelligence Readiness Command at Fort Belvoir, VA, will take palce at the Marietta National Cemetery, where 10,000 veterans from 23 states are buried. All veterans, as well the general public, are invied to attens the ceremony.
The honoree group for this year's observance, Pearl Harbor survivors, will receiuve a "Patriot Tribute Medal" for service to their country.
Beforehand at 8 a.m., the Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts of America and Brownies will place flags on each grave in the cemeteryat 500 Washington Ave. Parking is available six blocks west at the Cobb Public Library at 266 Roswell St.
