The Horace Orr Post 29 Challenge Coin was designed by Post Commander Robert "Pete" Woodruff in the summer of 2011.

The face of the coin depicts the Big Chicken, a well-known Marietta landmark that is a block from the Post.  The ALA, ALR, and SAL logos surround the chicken.  The Blue Service Star represents those who are currently serving in the name of freedom and democracy, and for allegiance to God and country, in courageously protecting our liberty and independence.

The back of the coin has the American Legion logo.
