Ron Dachs, of Mableton, left. talks with WWII veterans Albert Hendrix of northeast Cobb and J.Z. Heard of Marietta during a gathering to discuss facts about the Battle of the Bulge at the American Legion Post 29 in Marietta.
Hendrix served in the U.S. Army 30th Infantry which held Saint Vith in the battle and Heard was a Third Army soldier who landed at Utah Beach on D-Day and was under the command of U.S. General Patton.
