Bob Duncan doesn’t have the annual “Who’s on First” problem with his Post 29 Baseball club as long as Marietta standout Merrill Littlejohn is on the roster.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Junior-to-be at Marietta High School is starting his second season for Duncan’s outstanding team.  He is one of four regulars off Ben Wilkins ’73 Blue Devil Varsity, which struggled through Region 5AAA action with a very young outfit.

“I think we should have a pretty good team this season, especially with the pitching we’ve got,” remarked Littlejohn after Marietta had captured its first two games of the Spring.  With Ronnie (Prince), Barry (Rhodes) and Mosley (Randy) on the mound, we won’t be giving up many runs.

My coach  in Little League, Reggie Andrews, inspired me to continue I baseball.  “He is the man who taught me how to hit and how to play first base.  I owe everything to that man.:

After his little league days were completed, Littlejohn advanced to the Pony League program at Heck Memorial Field.  During his two years in the uniform of Christopher and Hayes Reality team, Merrill’s club won a pair of championships.

He started last season in the Colt League but quickly advanced up to the American Legion level and became a starter for Duncan’s club-
