The Horace Orr Post and the Auxiliary held a combined anniversary observance marking the Legion's 43 birthday and the Auxiliary's 42nd.
The presentation of the birthday cake was made by Perry Purcell, past department junior vice-commander, and Mrs. Fred Thompson, unit past president.
Decorations for the dinner and dance were blue and gold, the organizations' colors.
