Officers to head the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary are a husband and wife team. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Barmore, of 705 Mary Lane Street. Commander Barmore has been a member of the Horace Orr Post for 10 years, Sergeant-at-arms 1957-1958; senior vice-commander 1958-1959.
President Mrs. "Dot" Barmore has been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for the past five years. Civil Defense Chairman 1959-1960, First vice-president 1960-1961.
Mr. and Mrs. Barmore have four children, three girls who are members of the Junior Auxiliary, and a son; all four children reside with their parents.
