CARTERSVILLE- Ga, June 20 - Jim Leath of Summerville was elected commander of the Seventh District American Legion of the organization's meeting held here.
Lee Cowan, of Rossville, was elected senior vice-commander. Others namned included four junior vice-commanders, Don Weeks, Rome, elected to a second term; Tommy Billetta, Marietta; David Turner, Cartersville, and O. R. Fletcher, Summersville.
Delegates named to represent the district Legionnaires at the national convention in Denver in September were T. R. Ernest, Breman, O. R. Grace, Summerville; C. H. Grace and Buddy Morrison, Rome.
The Seventh District Auxiliary, also meeting Sunday, elected Mrs. T. H. Smith, Calhoun, as district president.
Other auxiliary officers elected included vice-presidents, Mrs. Jack Mathis, Lindale and Mrs. Billie McRay, Rome; chaplain, Mrs. Bernice Giles, Summerville, historian, Mrs. H. B. Jolly, Rome, sergeant-at-arms, Mrs. Claude Hicks, Rockmart, and Mrs. Wilson Nissin, Chickamauga; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Virginia Bennett, Rome.
