The Sydney Dodd Civil Defense Trophy given annually by the Department of Georgia has been won by Post 29 of Marietta for 1959, and officials of the Post say they're going to capture the award again in 1960.
The trophy was presented to Post 29's Civil Defense Chairman George Osborne at the Savannah convention. Osborne, a past Department commander and of Post 29, reports that his CD volunteers have great plans for another successful year in their community as civil defense leaders.
