He graduated from Taylorsville High School and attended the University of Kansas.

Mr. Osborne was a graduate of Lockheed Management School and Attended Woodrow Wilson Law School.  His professional expreience extended from licensed funeral director at Freeman Harris Funeral Home to sales, public relations, and management in the aircraft industry.  Mr. Osborne was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Naifeh in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, South Pacific, Phillippines and Okinawa.

He was a member of The American Legion since January of 1946 having served as Commander of Rockmart Post 12 for three years and Commander of Marietta Post 29 for one year.
