United States flags were presented by the American Legion Post 29 and Auxiliary to Brownie Troops 58 and 112 and Intermediate Girl Scout Troop 51 in an impressive ceremony last week in Faith Luthern Church.

Mrs. Robert Boyd, Unit 29 President, presented flags to the Brownie troops with Mrs. V. E. Alexander, leader accepting for Troop 58 and Mrs. Edgar Clauser, leader and Brownie Ann Heath accepting for Troop 112.  Commander Fred Thompson presented the flag for Troop 51 to Mrs. W. L. Brown, leader and Scout Jeanie Berry.

History of the flag and discussion of what that symbolizes was given by Mrs. Robert Boyd who concluded her message with the poem "The Flag Speaks."

Refreshments were served tothe 150 present by Mrs. D. H. Arnold, hostess.

Troops 58 and 51 are sponsored by Faith Luthern Church and Troop 112 is sponsored by the Kennesaw Mountain Jaycees.
