Bio:
John was a 1940 graduate of Georgia Tech and later served in the Army during World War II. He enlisted on 28 September 1942 at Fort McPherson-Atlanta.
He spent his career working in finance at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA. While living in Marietta, he was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, the American Legion and the 40 and 8 Society. Upon retirement from Lockheed, he became a world traveler.
After relocating to Peachtree City, GA in 1996, he was active in the Ad Loy Ho Sunday School Class at PTC United Methodist Church and the Golden K. Kiwanis Club.
In 2005, he was preceeded in death by Sara Andrew Roy, his wife of 66 years. Mr. Roy is survived by two children, three grand children, and three great-grandchildren.
