A Citation for Distinguished Service has been awarded to Hoiace Orr Post No. 29 of the American Legion, in Marietta.

The special award is given to the Post in recognition of its having more 1950 members than the average of the immediate past four years.  The advance 1950 membership of the post of February 22 was 649, and the average membership of the four years 1946-1949 was 425.

National headquarters of the veterans' organization authorized the special recognition presented through state headquarters in Atlanta by George Hearn, state commander.
