In January 2023, Post 170 was renamed the Jimmy McCollum American Legion Post 170 in honor of our longest continuous member and Post adjutant for over 20 years, Jimmy McCollum (3rd in from the left above, blue shirt/blue jacke), who suddenly passed away in 2022.

We are located in Kingsland, Georgia and since Kingsbay Naval Submarine Base is here all of Camden County, the towns of Woodbine,Saint Marys and Kingsland are all great supporters of the military. We have a lot of retired Navy in the post but also Marines, Army, Cost Guard and Air Force from all three of those towns.
