On March 29 we visited the VA Hospital in Dublin. This was precipitated by the generous action of the SKILLS students at CCHS. They took it upon themselves to garner donated gifts, including the boxes for the veterans. In all, 300 boxes full of personal items. We met at the high school where they had a trailer already loaded and ready to go. We towed the trailer to the hospital where the boxes were distributed and visits with the veterans were conducted. Needless to say we were warmly greeted by staff and residents alike. The students are not only learning professional skills to last a lifetime they are learning life skills that only the very fortunate understand. They are doing so under the tutelage of Mr. Carl Jones, their teacher, and we are all extremely grateful. Sometimes our faith in the youth of this country is renewed. Respectfully - R
