Harold Watkins had originally been elected as Senior Vice-Commander of Fifth District. His dear friend, Ron Asby, was elected as Commander of Fifth District.
Before we were able to have an installation ceremony, Ron Asby had a heart attack, was in the hospital for several weeks, and his wife contacted District and said he would not be able to serve as commander.
Our Fifth Districtt Constsitution & Bylaws dictated that the Senior Vice Commander would move up into the commander slot and that we would need to have another election to nominate, elect, and install a new Senior Vice-Commander. Jim Fultz was elected as new Senior Vice Commander and he and Harold were installed on 7/8/17.
Ron Asby later passed on August 6, 2017 at the age of 69.
