To commemorate the move to the new Post, a set of challenge coins was commissioned. Remember the Past, as we Build for the Future and purchase a Legion Challenge Coin. Proceeds benefit the Smyrna American Legion Post 160 Building Fund.
There are two types of Legion Challenge Coins available to choose from: Type I which depicts the Old Post Home that has served Veterans and the Local Community for over 65 Years, and Type II which features the New Post Home that will serve for many years to come. The reverse of each coin showcases the emblems of the Legion Family: The American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Each Challenge Coin is individually die-struck on blanks crafted from a bronze alloy giving a deeply etched embossed appearance. Coins measure a full 1-1/2" i diameter and are 1/8" thick.
For a contribution of $10, one of these Legion Challenge Coins can be yours. Stop by the Post and pick up one (or both). A special $50 framed set is available with three coins mounted in a handsome display case.
