On Sunday June 7, 2015, Post 143 Honor Guard provided military honors at the funeral of Past Commander Henry Duke. While his wife Nellie and the family stood on the portico of the First United Methodist Church, the Rifle Team fired volleys and the honor guard rendered a salute. Included also is a news account telling of Commander Henry and Nellie Duke's inspiration in establishing the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park.
