The 2014 Veterans Day Observance at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park was focused on World War II Veterans. A total of 105 WW2 Veterans were located and given a special invitation to attend and 85 of them did so. The Times Georgian newspaper wrote in an article following the event, "It was, perhaps, the largest gathering in Carroll County of World War II veterans since the war."
