Georgia Post 143 Hosts Annual BBQ Fundraiser

The American Legion Post Family held its annual BBQ Fundraiser on September 22, 2023. Over 35 Post Family members and volunteers from the surrounding community came together to make this another successful event for the Post. Because the Post must rely primarily on Fundraisers, Grants and Donations for its revenue,events like this allows the Post to continue to fund their various Legion programs and community activities throughout the year.The menu consisted of pulled pork, BBQ sauce, Brunswick Stew, Slaw, Chips and Bread. Ice Tea was also provided for folks that dined in or took their meal with them. The Collage shows the many volunteers that participated in preparing the BBQ plates and some partrons enjoying their BBQ meal.
