Post 143 Sponsors Department of Georgia Bays State Camp for 2019

American Legion Post 143 sponsored 5 students this year allowing them to participate in the Department of Georgia’s Boys State Camp held at Riverside Military Academy in Gainsville, GA. Here they learned how government operates at the local, state and national levels, and they also got to set up and run a mock government of their own. Counselor Steve Fuller (Post 143 Adjutant) is pictured preparing the next day’s agenda. A special thanks goes to Carroll County Sheriff Terry Langley for providing the students with transportation to Riverside Military academy.
