American Legion Carroll Post 143 presented both a Scholastic and General Military Excellence Certificate with medals to JROTC Cadets at both Carrollton and Centeral High Schools. Sr. Vice Cmdr Dale Robinson and Rosemarie Miller attended the Awards Ceremony for Central High School AFJROTC on Apr 25, 2019 and presented the Scholastic Excellence certificate with medal to Cadet Major Graceson R. Jones and the Military Excellence certificate with medal to Cadet Major Justin D. Thompson. Sr. Vice Cmdr. Robinson also presented LTC Mike Washington, USAF (Ret) with a monetary gift to be used for activities benefiitng the community.

Junior Vice Cmdr. Tim Bass and Frank Joswick attended Carrollton High School's Dining-Out banquet on Apr 25, 2019 and presented Carrollton High School AF-JROTC Cadet 1st Lt Maria Domingo with the Scholastic Excellence certificate with medal, and Cadet Lt. Col Aniya Sumlin with the Military Excellence certificate with medal. Jr. Vice Cmdr Tim Bass also presented Maj. David Conley, USAF, (Ret) with a monitary gift to be used for activities benefiting the community.

American Legion Scholastic Award:

This award consists of a bronze medal accompanied by a ribbon with a distictive attachment depicting a scholastic scroll. To receive this award, each cadet must: Rank in the top 10% of the high school class; Rank in the top 25% of their AFJROTC class; Demonstrate Leadership qualities and actively participate in student activities.

 

American Legion Military Excellence Award:

This award consists of a bronze medal accompanied by a ribbon with a distinctive miniature attachment depicting a torch. To receive this award, each cadet must: Rank in the top 25% of their AFJROTC class; Demonstrate outstanding qualities in military leadership, disipline, chartacter, and citizenship
