AMERICAN LEGION CENTENNIAL WEEKEND PROCLAMATION

American Legion Post 143 was Chartered on Mar. 19, 1935 and founded on the American Legion's FOUR PILLARS: Care for the veterans, a strong national defense, patriotic youth programs and Americanism.To celebrate the American Legion's 100 Year Anniversary, the Post will schedule several events this year throughout the community. One such event includes a Memorial Day Service at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park. The Carroll County Board of Commissioners and the city of Carrollton have proclaimed that Saturday, May 25th is declared "American Legion Weekend" and all are urged to attend the our Memorial Service at 10:30AM followed by a Memorial Concert at the Carrollton Amphitheater (AMP) Saturday evening.
