Post 0140 - July 28, 2014 - Members of Post 140 were heavily involved with the rededication of the WWI Pershing Point Park Memorial. Members Ron Mountford and Jean-Paul Boulee (Jones Day) were instrumental in the project. The law firm of Jones Day was also a large contributor.. Post 140 namesake Waldo M Slaton's name is on the memorial plaque, among those who paid the ultimate sacrifice during WWI. The Memorial had gone into disrepair over the years - the renewal project included new lighting, stone work and landscaping. State of Georgia Governor Nathan Deal supplied some appropriate commentary and cut the ribbon. Numerous dignitaries from the State of Georgia, the City of Atlanta, Jones Day, ELV Associates, Angelic Moore and the Midtown Alliance, were in attendance. Post 140 members in attendance were Jean-Paul Boulee, Ron Mountford, Chris Matthews Vice Commander, Shawn Reed, Adjutant, David Llewellyn, Dave Tippel, Historian, Matt Filbeck, Sergeant-at-Arms, Rick McCully, Dr. Hal Raper, Thomas Reagan and Michael Stoer.
