American Legion Post 375 received temporary charter December 3, 1995 and obtained Full Charter on July 7, 1997. It can be said that Post 375 evolved from the need for local representation when American Legion Post 356 which was chartered August 4, 1990 in Southport, Florida relocated to Lynn Haven, Florida. This created a need for a local post for Veterans in the Southport, Florida area. AL375 Auxiliary was chartered on January 4, 1999 and the SAL375 on November 25, 2002
American Legion Post 375 has occupied its current location in Southport since the Post went into operation December 3, 1996
