Veterans from Post 324 Sunrise, gathered at VFW 7115 and chartered Post 365, May 12, 1993, East Sunrise/Lauderhill. After several years the name of the Post was changed and chartered on 30 January 1997 to Arthur R Lanni Memorial Post 365 in memory of the Past Commander, Arthur R. Lanni. The post has continued to meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month since being chartered. Originally meetings were held at VFW 7115 until they moved location. The post continued to meet at the Dan Pearl Library for one year until being offered a meeting location at the Sunrise Senior Center. Post 365 has consistently been involved in the activities of the city on Veterans Day and Memorial Day programs and supports Piper HS and the Sunrise community.
