On May 16,Armed Forces Day 2015, American Legion Post 316 had a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the post home. Stating at 1330 hrs, Post Commander Greg White, Post 1st Vice Commander Clarence Hill and Post Historian Phil Harville, began the Retirement Ceremony and working till we had retired 150 flags. Taking time out to let ashes cool down.

Later on in the afternoon, Post 1st Vice Commander Clarence Hill along with the American Legion Riders 316 resumed with the Flag Retirement Ceremony by retiring 250 more flags for a total of 400 retired. A future FLAG Retirement Ceremony is in the planning.
