Awards presented to selected honorees. Local dignitaries, all from the local communites, and special guests are invited to attend.
Please contact Commander Bob Williams, 203-641-4622 for more information.
The Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal is awarded to Connecticut residents who have served during times of conflict, from World War I to the present. While some of those present were Connecticut natives, others came to know the state because of their time in the service.
Those receiving the honor included students, faculty, and staff from Meriden who have served in the armed forces while the United States has been engaged in various conflicts abroad.
Any Connecticut Veteran, living or deceased, with qualifying wartime military service is eligible to receive the Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal; a small "thank you" from a grateful state.
You can get access to print an application to complete and send to Post 45, https://portal.ct.gov/DVA/Pages/CT-Veterans-Wartime-Service-Medal/Applications . For more information contact the post at 203-634-9876 or Post Commander Bob Williams
