NEW HAVEN, CONN. -- The "new century" American Legion New Haven Post 210 formally recieved their permanent charter while celebrating a century of service on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the American Legion in the wake of World War I.

American Legion Connecticut Commander Tom Flowers presented inagural post commander Charles M. Pickett the signed document at the Legion 100: Centennical Celebration Dinner at Adriana's Restaurant on March 15, 2019--the exact day the American Legion was formed in France in 1919. A delegation of Connecticut Legion leadership honored the new post by attending the dnner, demonstrating continued support for the fledgling group.
