The fishing’s good

American Legion Post 209’s annual fishing derby at Rockwell Park was a hit recently, with more than 100 youths taking part in the event.

With a two-trout limit for the day, prizes of note went to Vivian Shea, who scored the first trout of the day and was the first girl to limit out. Jacob Cousins was the first boy to hit the limit. Mackenzie Jones won the day’s prize for biggest trout at 2.2 pounds, and she won an additional prize for hitting her limit.
