A "Veteran's Round Up" was held at the Legion Hall on Washington Street. All veterans in Norwalk were asked to turnout en masse to greet Bill Miller, state commander of the American Legion and other veteran dignitaries. The local American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps assembled at Hour Square at 7:30 p.m. in full uniform and instruments. All veterans fell in behind the drum corps for a parade down Wall Street and West Avenue to Legion Hall. The committee hosting the event encouraged all veterans to fall in the parade regardless of affiliation. Refreshments were served after the event.
