Organizational meetings were held in October 1946 to form an American Legion Post for the Barnum and Westwood areas of Denver at Dr Ansel G Prater's medical office (with 8-10 pote4ntial members) Our charter members consisted of 30 members who petitioned Nation Headquarters to grant us a charter to be known as Westwood Post #193, later changed to Cummings-Prather Post #193 prior to our charter being granted (John Cummings Jr, US Army, and Richard Prater,..
