---Post 170- brought in the season with their annual Christmas Party having the largest attendance of any Christmas Party since our revitalization in 2004. Lots of gift exchanges, christms songs and games left the USA as the winner of the Service Competition. The USA Flag will fly over the trophy with the American Flag until the next competition. We had a wonderful reminder that Jesus is the Reason for the Season and thanks was given for all our gifts from God in 2014. Post members transfered to Post Everlasting in 2014 were also remembered (Kirk Charbonneau (Vietnam), Jim Christoff (Korea), Harold Estabrooks (WWII) and Jerry Lacy (Vietnam). Thanks to everyone that helped make this a Blessed 2014 and helped keep Post 170 vital and serving veterans in Colorado.
--Members of Post 170, Unit 170 and friends brought Christmas wishes and happiness to the Wet Mountain Valley this year, gifts to WWII veterans and residents of their local assisted living facility VALI. Ivan Brooks (Vietnam Veteran & duel SAL) did the honors by repersenting Santa in his bright red suit and jolly laugh. Other Post (elves) members included Commander Brad Bradberry (Vietnam), Dept. ANEC Carol Kennedy (Vietnam Era & dual Aux.), Earl Fox (Vietnam), Adj. Anna Orgeron(Vietnam Era & dual Aux.) and Unit Elves President Brinder Bradberry, EC member Nancy Brooks with friend Lyndee Montgomery.
---Post 170 lead the Christmas Parade in an Black Ford F150 driven by Post member Bob Dreher (Vietnam Era) decked out in lights flying the American Flag and American Post 170 Flag with Dept. of Colo. ANEC Carol Kennedy greeting the attendees. They were followed by Post Commander Brad Bradberry on his lighted motorcycle with the "Ghost of Christmas Past" (skeleton dressed in his red union suit) followed by a Rust colored King Ranch decorated in Christmas regala driven by Unit EC Mbr. Nancy Brooks. At the very end of the parade, riding a Wet Mt Valley Fire Truck and trailer was Santa (Ivan Brooks) with Santa Elf Dog (Nakai, a therapy dog and ambassador for Post 170) and elf Lynee Montgomery.
