Legionnaire Harry Harris almost single handedly raised more than $7800 for the Post building and maintenance account. Legionnaire Logan Gholson had arranged for the donation of a Henry 22 caliber military commemorative rifle from Wayne’s Wild West Guns. Over a period of approximately 3 months, Legionnaires sold raffle tickets for the rifle. However, it was Harris who personally spent countless hours outside City Market and Wal-Mart selling raffle tickets for the rifle. The drawing was coordinated with July 4th festivities.
