U.S. Black, Telluride, commander of the 5th district, and P.H. Leimbach of Mancos, sub-district captain of sub-district 16 of the department of the American Legion, accompanied by Paul Snyder and William F. Moore, of the Trujillo-Sheets post of Durango, assisted the Archuleta county veterans at a meeting last Friday evening in reorganizing a post.
Ernest Smith was elected temporary commander to serve until a regular election is held and a charter granted, which will take about 90 days.
