Every year, Post 42, in conjunction with the Squire Inn in Tusayan put on a Christmas program for pre-school through 3rd grade children in the Grand Canyon School District. We have been doing this program for the past 20 years. The post gets apples, oranges, and a candy cane. About 7 years ago, Rebecca Rocha, Mary Hoover, Donna Murphy, Diane Ahles, and Sandra Rogers started making knit scarfs and caps to give to the children also. This year, they are also making sleds out of candy to give to the children.
