Thomas Cosgrove, of the John H. Slaughter American Legion Post 30 in Springerville, was named Commander of the Arizona Department of the American Legion for 2006-2007. The Arizona Department is one of 55 in the American Legion (one for each of the fifty states, plus Departments in Pierto Rico, France, Mexico and the Philippines, and has ten districts with approximately 30,000 members.
