Waypoint for Veterans is a locally operated outfit here in Sitka, Alaska whose mission statement states: “To provide an environment where Veterans and Emergency Responders can reconnect to nature, thus promoting personal growth, healing and relaxation.
We believe that providing this type of support for Veterans and Emergency Responders will lessen their likelihood of suicide, substance abuse and broken families.”
Waypoint is led by Post 13 Legionnaire, Lucas Goddard whose vision has become a reality.
We partnered with Lucas and his team by supporting his visitors with an end-of-tour BBQ. This allowed local Veterans and
Emergency Responders to fellowship with our guests and create bonds with our brothers in arms.
