Cpl Mady served in the 17th(A)Company, 1st battalion, 5th Marine Regiment in WWI. He was wounded at Belleau Wood and received a Silver Star for his actions on June 6, 1918. He was a Charter member and first Commander of the Great Falls American Leigon Post 3, Department of Montana. Served as Great Falls Chief of Police in the 1930's-40's.
