Post Namesake
Charles Boyd Maynard and Ivan Price were two local men who were killed in action during World War I. Maynard-Price Post 52 was first established in 1919. Charter members included: Cleo Miller, Roy H. Butler, Harry A. Stupppler, W. J. Broehl, Frank Fulkerth, Clem A. Yelle, George Gannon and Frank W. Zink. One of the specific projects of the post was the construction of the Legion Hall/Medical Center building at Blaine and Grand streets in Pullman in the early 1950's. The building was later sold in 1969. The post sponsors many children' prob\grams and Summer Legion Baseball.

Post 52 is the leader in Whitman County in furnishing scholarships for high school students in Pullman,encouraging students to take part in Boys/Girls State, Oratorical contests and Baseball.
