Washington student wins 2024 American Legion National Oratorical Contest
Sophomore Aubrey Moore of Renton, Wash., won the 2024 American Legion National Oratorical Contest. Her speech, titled “Why Freedom of Speech is in Danger,” earned her a $25,000 scholarship. Second-place and a $22,500 scholarship was awarded to Knox Boyd of Lafayette, Ind. Third place and a $20,000 scholarship was awarded to David Daniel of Owensboro, Ky.
