American Legion Youth Programs

The American Legion Youth Programs (https://www.legion.org/get-involved/youth-programs) are some of the best programs for kids on the planet. The events bring the absolute best in cadre, program elements, and character together to give children incredible live-changing experiences that shape them as leaders of character in their communities and for the nation. American Legion Youth Programs encapsulate many things nationally and at the post level, but our largest programs are as follows: Oratorical - students write, master, and give multiple speeches from their perspective on the value of the U.S. Constitution. Boys Nation - student senators elected from their Boys State programs convene in Washington DC to stand up their own Congress and meet real world members of the three branches of government. Junior Shooting Sports - students participate in the most elite youth air rifle competition in the nation. American Legion Baseball - students participate in a 100-year-old tradition of excellence and character culminating in the American Legion World Series on ESPN.
