In Continental, Ohio, American Legion Winnow-Arn Post 541 brought members of the community together for a day of celebrating veterans and their families, complete with face painting, miniature therapy ponies, an ice cream station, and and other activities. Representative Ty Mathews and American Legion National Headquarters' Be The One Manager Tony Cross spoke to those in attendance about the importance of service and suicide prevention.
Also on hand for the event were Putnam County Veterans Services, Findlay Army Recruiting Office, American Legion Riders, and H.O.O.V.E.S. for Vets, partners with horses to help Veterans return to the life they fought to protect.
