Post 2 takes great pride in sponsoring and organizing many patriotic/veteran related events. Except for two years during WWII, the post has sponsored the annual Knoxville Veterans Day Parade since 1921. Other events include Memorial Day Program, Flag Day, Four Chaplains Service, and Pearl Harbor Remembrance. The post is a member of the East Tennessee Military Affairs Council and East Tennessee Veterans Memorial Association. The Post 2 family includes the Auxiliary unit, Legion Riders, and a Sons detachment.
