What Makes this Post Unique

Post 88 of White, South Dakota, is an important part of the community, and we meet on the last Monday of each month at 7PM with a nice meal and a meeting to follow.

We host the Annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day observances in conjunction with out Auxillary which always features a fantastic meal and a speaker to help the community reflect upon the significance of the day.  Each month on the third Sunday we sponsor a community free-will offering pancake breakfast from 8 to 11AM.  Each November, we sponsor a Turkey Raffle to bring together the community for a night of BINGO and other games with numerous prizes of hams and turkeys for the winners.

Our Post led the remodeling effort of the city's community center through starting the process by updating the kitchen cooking facilities, after which the community took interest in the building and came together to create a fantastic facility for meetings, gatherings, weddings, and other social events.

Finally, our Post sponsors the Community Veterans Memorial located on Main Street in White to honor those veterans from the local area that have served and serving as a reminder for the area that what we have does not come without a price.
