About This Post

Post Namesake
Hutchinson (Alfred E. Hutchinson) - Hutchinson was born in Gregory County and enlisted early in the first World War and was killed on Hill 181 in Belleau Wood.
What Makes this Post Unique
This Post is a medium-sized post membership. The original post building was an abandoned church, under which the membership built a basement and remodeled the upstairs. The Auxiliary used the basement until a new post home was built in 1954. Updating the building has happened a couple times. Activities include holding Memorial Day and Veterans Day services as well as sponsoring a Boy Scout Troop, Boys State delegates, American Legion Baseball, and essay contests.
