Eugene McGrath was missing in action in WW1. Was a Member the "Last Battalion" in France. Body was never recovered. Ferguson was killed in action in WW2.

What Makes this Post Unique
First organization meeting Post 52 was held at the Douglas County Court House in Armour SD Sept 23, 1919. Oct 19, 1919 at the this meeting the Post Constitution was approved. Also at this meeting it was voted on to request that the town close all businesses on Nov 11 1919. April 1921 Kelly Claubaugh was appointed as Manager of the Legion based ball team. All members who can play baseball were asked to join the team. At the meeting ten cents per member will sent to the Nation Treasury of the American Legion to decorate American graves overseas. Post 52 will lease a small brick building north of the Douglas County Court House for meetings. This building is now the Douglas County Museum. Aug of 1934 at the regular legion meeting it was requested that meetings be held at Corsica and Harrison.
