Our Post is the closest Post to where Jimmy Doolittle first assembled the prospective flyers at Columbia Army Airfield to start building up of the sixteen (16) crews that would eventually take off from the flight deck of the USS Hornet CV-8 on April 18, 1942 to take the war back to Hirohito's front door.
