Veteran Day Ceremony

It will be held at the Carolina Memorial Gardens Cemetery Garden of Valor at 11 a.m. Our Past Dept. Commander Mr. Joe Lysaght will be our guest speaker with a reception at our Post afterwards.

Fundraiser

American Legion Riders of our post will have a Spaghetti dinner mission trip fundraiser from 3-6 p.m. on Nov. 19 at our post. Their monthly rider meeting will be the day before on the 18th at 10 a.m.

Flag Destruction Ceremony.

Twelve students from Howe Hall AIMS (Arts Infused Magnet School) across the street from our Post, were invited to participate in a flag-burning ceremony. Due to the rain, no burning was done, but the beginning ceremony was conducted indoors. The students lined up and marched forward to present the flags for destruction, each student carrying one of several hundred we have been given to destroy.
