Alfred Beattie Littell (July 1, 1893 – December 12, 1970) was an American Republican Party politician who served as a member of both houses of the New Jersey Legislature and as President of the New Jersey State Senate in 1951. He was the father of State Senator Robert Littell and grandfather of Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose.
What Makes this Post Unique
The Post has hosted the annual Memorial Day ceremonies in Ogdensburg, Hardyston and Franklin for many, many years starting probably around 1920. Franklin Post 132 presided and participated in the dedication of the World War monument in Franklin on Monday, May 28th, 1928. Four Civil War veterans from local and surrounding towns also participated in these ceremonies. A full newspaper article appeared in the June 8, 1928 Sussex Independent newspaper. The Post hosts an American Legion Baseball Team. June 21st, 1930 the Post attended the dedication of High Point Monument at High Point State Park, N.J.
