Schipman-Mogensen Post was named after Private Emil Shipman who was killed in France during WWI and Corporal Carl G Mogensen who was also killed in France during WWI within 5 days of one another

Department Commander was inducted

George Cyboron was elected Department Commander of Nebraska for the 2011-2012 year. George was eligible for The American Legion as a Vietnam-era veteran serving in the Army's B Battery 17th Artillery. George has since held a variety of positions throughout his distinguished career by serving as Post Commander, Post Treasurer, County Commander, District Vice Commander, District Commander and Department Senior Vice Commander. This is the first Department Commander for Boelus Post #201 and Howard County.
